Support Local Businesses & Shop Small

If you’ve been here for a while, you know that My Sister’s Closet is a family-owned and operated boutique. Not just within the owners, but also those who worked here. There are so many mother-daughter duos who work here currently or have worked here. I like to think it’s part of why My Sister’s Closet has such a homey feel to it. If you want to hear more about how My Sister’s Closet Boutique came to be, you can check out this blog post here

With the holidays quickly approaching we want to remind you of the importance of shopping small and supporting local businesses. No hate for the big companies or the convenience of Amazon Prime (you can shop small businesses on Amazon) but making an effort to support small businesses can do wonders for so many different reasons.

  • Shopping small means supporting someone directly, you’re not making the big corporations richer instead you're helping someone pay their bills and put food on the table.
  • More variety, unlike Target or Walmart we don’t carry an endless stock of something. When shopping for a friend or yourself you’re not getting them something that everyone is going to have.
  • Personal Shopping Experience, when you come to My Sister’s Closet we want you to feel welcome and at home. If you need help the employees are more than happy to answer questions, make recommendations, and make your shopping experience an overall positive one.
  • Keep your tax dollars local to help improve where you live. By shopping at local stores and supporting small your tax dollars can help your local community thrive. And let’s not forget about it being more economically friendly if you’re able to go into the actual store.
